I’ve been thinking about the teacher who lost her teaching credential (and degree) because of a picture posted on MySpace that showed her holding a drink. It probably didn’t help that the picture caption read “Drunken Pirate”, referencing the Hallowe’en costume she was wearing.

Clearly, there are a number of issues that could be debated. But it got me thinking about the line where public and private intersect. You public image is a reflection of your private activities.

Narcissurfing – the habit of searching on-line for references to self.

Narcissism: Excessive adoration or love of oneself.

Surfing: Browsing or exploring the World Wide Web.
